I did an interview with Charlie from KOMO Radio this week. You can listen to it below.
The Campaign once again visited the Fremont Fair experience. I enjoyed interacting and discussing the issues with the electorate. The people were once again very supportive of the campaign. The issues concerning them were the same as the issues that I have listed as my top concerns. Education, Transportation and the Environment are the key to making this state realize its full potential Change and leadership are needed for this state and they were excited to have an alternative. They agree the party system is inhibiting the progress towards solutions for our problems. August 19th is the time to move the state forward.
I was graciously invited to speak before the All Aboard Washington membership this past Saturday. All Aboard Washington is Washington State’s leading rail advocacy organization. This group was integral to upgrading rail service on the Cascade corridor (Vancouver, BC to Eugene, OR). Needless to say our interests are aligned on solving our transportation issues in this state. This group has immeasurable knowledge on rail and provided excellent dialogue on the rail transit topic. I was able to share the campaign’s goal of introducing a state wide solution of rail to solve regional transit problems. I spoke of the need to act now and take advantage of the momentum of increase ridership during this trying economic time. I stated the rolling out of this solution must be implemented within years, not decades. All Aboard Washington was very supportive of my campaign and especially of the campaign’s message. The membership was able to lend their experience of working over the past two decades on the issue. The message is clear.
We need rail now.
I want to publicly THANK All Aboard Washington for their invitation and especially all their hard work they have done with rail in Washington State.
I did an interview on KXLY in Spokane earlier this week. You can listen to it below.
This weekend the campaign visited the home town of Indianola during the Indianola Days weekend festival. The event included a street fair, sand castle competition and salmon bake. An excellent reception provided for a very successful endeavor with meeting visitors for the festival.

Following this event we traveled to Genesee Park to attend the Saturday evening events of Seafair with live music and fireworks. We passed out information on the campaign and interacted on a community level with the crowd. On Seafair Sunday, we headed out on the lake to join the crowd which were watching the Blue Angels and Hydros. The crowd was very friendly and definitely became aware of the campaign and myself.

This weekend I had the great opportunity to visit the beautiful San Juan Islands. I was able to visit Friday Harbor, Roche Harbor and all communities in between. The island communities were amazingly cordial and definitely showed “island” hospitality. While in Roche Harbor I was able to attend a ceremony with

individuals who commemorate the 1859 Pig War confrontation between the Britain and America. The ceremony was very patriotic and provided an excellent back drop this election season. Please celebrate our democracy and vote August 19th.
The Sunday Seattle Times featured a front page article on the Local Section about my candidacy. Four years later an alternative does exist this August 19th. Click here to read the article.
Here is the video of the address which was taped for the video voter’s guide. It highlights the mission of my campaign. This address will be broadcast throughout the next weeks on TV Washington.
